The 31st Anniversary of the Arson Attack against Al-Aqsa Mosque

Today marks the Thirty-first Anniversary of the criminal attempt perpetrated by the Israeli fanatics to burn down the bless Mosque of Aqsa.

This anniversary comes around at a time when the City of Al-Quds Al-Sharif is still playing under the Israeli Occupation, facing daily judaization schemes, within Al-Aqsa Mosque being the subject of multiple and renewed attempts at the hands of Israeli settlers to force their way through it along with their threats to demolish it and have their so-called temple built on its site.

The OIC Secretary General, in these critical episodes faced by the cause of Palestine and Al-Quds, and with the initiation of Islamic action for the convening of the Al-Quds Committee, calls for increased concentration of Islamic efforts to ensure the protection and safeguarding of Al-Quds Al-Sharif, the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the other Islamic and Christian sacred places against the vandalising acts of the Jewish settlers and to see to it that the Palestinian resistance benefit of the required assistance in the face of the vicious expansionist Zionist ambitions. The Secretary General also calls for necessary action to be taken so that rightfulness may be vindicated and that the Palestinian people may recover their national and legitimate rights and establish their own independent State on their national soil with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
