Experts From Islamic States Discuss Proposed Structural, Administrative and Financial Reforms to the OIC System

The Second Meeting of the Inter-governmental Group of Experts from the Islamic States On Considering Administrative and Structural Reforms to the Organization of the Islamic Conference took place on Saturday 6 Zul Qadah 1420H (12/2/2000).

In implementation of the recommendations of the 25th and 26th Sessions of the Islamic Conference of Foreign Ministers, the Group considered proposed reforms to the OIC administrative, financial and structural reforms; the possibility of amending the OIC Staff Regulations and the Framework Statute of Subsidiary Organs; reconsidering shares of mandatory contributions of Member States; and the creation of an OIC Administrative Tribunals as in the case of other international organizations.

The Meeting was chaired by the Kingdom of Morocco and the Vice-Chairmanship of Palestine, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Cameroon. Malaysia is the Rapporteur of the meeting.
